In 2012 permanent plots with size of one square meter were established, to occupy the vegetational developement of alpine grassland with Kobresia myosuroides, in aspects of climate change and long-term monitoring Data records are presented from 23.07.2012 to 30.08.2012 Data includes vegetational coverage in 43 different plots and pH-values of soils measured in 29 plots

Data contains parameters to show seedling-differences of grazed and ungrazed alpine and subalpine grasslands. Fences for grazing exclusion were established in 2000. Presented data confers to sampling in 2009. On permanent plots of different sites in Obergurgl, seedlings of different species were counted per plot, stand height was measured per plot and different coverage data was recorded. Additionally vegetation records were made on each sampled plot. Each site contains 6 permanent plots (3 Ex + 3 Co), one permanent plot has a size of 1 m². Ex = Exclosure site (ungrazed plots, plots within fences to exclosure grazing), Co = Control site (grazed plots, plots outside the fences). Data have been used for analysis and publications for the research center Berglandwirtschaft, Innsbruck.

In Obergurgl, a homogenously structured pine forest consists of old pines (Pinus cembra) in the terminal stage. The community was defined as Vaccinio-Pinetum cembrae nardetosum. species composition and number of three dwarf shrub communities were studied for nine years (2000–2008) in 1-m² permanent plots. To document the pineforest (Pinus cembra), 20 vegetation records were made from 11.08.2010 to 25.08.2010 Vegetation records were made in plots according to scale and minimum areal of Braun-Blanquet (1964).

During the long-term monitoring project in Obergurgl, the coverage of vegetation and the amount of litter per plot was recorded in the year 2008. The project was established in 2000, with the aim to record vegetational development in subalpine to alpine altitudes in aspects on the effect of grazing and grazing exclosure. This data refers to vegetation coverage and the amount of litter per plot. Data was recorded in 2008

Permanent plots were established in 1996. A total of 40 permanent plots were established on moraines ice-free for 35 and 50 years on vegetated and bare-ground areas. Half of them were treated with a seed mixture in 1996 and 1997. The vegetation was mapped and coverage was estimated in permanentplots in 1996 and from 2002-2014. Records were made by splitting the 25x25 cm plots in 5x5 cm segments (=subplots). Vegetation coverage was estimated by subplots and then summed up to the plot size of 25x25 cm.
