  • GIS thematic layer of plant communities in the Tatra National Park. Overall, as many 49 non-forest plant communities were identified, in addition to approx. 17 major forest plant communities. Many of them are specific of the Tatras since associated with high sub-alpine and alpine environments.

  • The dataset contains records of vascular plants collected in the lower valley of River Sabor (NE Portugal) in the scope of the long-term Ecological Monitoring Program (PME) of the Baixo Sabor Hydroelectric Dams (AHBS), promoted by EDP – Energias de Portugal, S.A, to assess the temporal dynamics of selected habitats of conservation relevance, before and after the dams implantation. This dataset includes results of surveys made in and around the area affected by the dams, from May 2010 to August 2014. Plant inventories were made along the lower Sabor river valley and in some tributaries, from the river mouth up to 42 km upstream.

  • The Protected Area's flora is characterised not only by the wide range of plant species, but also by the presence of many endemic species and sub-species, 97 of them endemic to Crete and 15 steno-endemic to smaller areas. There are no precise numbers for the plant species found in the Samaria National Park, but there is an ongoing extended floristic monitoring program covering 15 out of the 19 identified habitats of the Protected Area, which includes all the steno-endemic and protected species found in the Area.
